Sonic Makes The Greatest Commercials Out Of Any Food Chain That Doesn't Really Exist.

Bold statement? Sure. True? Unequivocally.

The Sonic commercials are wildly fantastic. Hilarious, weird, and prone to mention blogging. I wish I could eat there, only Sonic doesn't exist. I'm convinced that Sonic was invented by some rich guy who decided to advertise a fake place to piss me off.

Yeah, it sounds selfish on both mine and the creators parts but it's true. Face facts. A perfunctory search proved that there are no "Sonic" restaurant chains within a 150 mile radius of both New York City or Boston. Technically, nothing within 150 miles of both of those places is worth existing, so I stopped my search there.

Oh, and for the record, the other restaurant that doesn't exist is Carrabba's. Not only do their commercials suck, but I'd never eat at an Italian restaurant founded by Southerners. That's like having a Nazi rabbi.

Craigslist Missed Connection Of The Week (Brought To You By Cingular)

Damn, this week's missed connection has been pulled off of Craigslist before I had a chance to copy it down or even digest the awesomeness of it. Per usual it was sent in by Craigslist junkie Lauren C. Once again, if anyone finds any great Craigslist Missed Connection posts, let me know, and I'll do my best to help that person find his/her fleeting love.

In lieu of that here's an open letter from me to Madonna.

Dear Madonna,

What the fuck?!

You can't just go around cherry picking cute babies from poor tribes and adopting whomever you want. It doesn't work like that. You have the ability to bear children. Try that again.

Love,

Jeff

I've eaten at a Carabba's. However, at the time, I wasn't aware that it was founded by Southerners, as they were not yet advertising.

Sonic is being given a run for its money by CiCi's pizza. Have you seen the commercial for these? They're advertising quite a bit around here and talking up their $5 all-you-can-eat buffet, which assuming it doesn't run the same hours as Pizza Hut (roughly 10 am through never), is a fantastic deal. I was quite excited when I saw the commercial, only to find out that the one closest to my area code is in Tennessee.

As an aside, is there anything more impossible than trying to catch the Pizza Hut lunch buffet on a weekend? Some how, some way, the times just conspire against you and you never make it. I swear, Pizza Hut is in its own dimension in the time/space continuum. Forget re-classifying Pluto, scientists need to get on this right now, because I bet it's delicious there.

I've scored the Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet once on Long Island.

I think it was like Tuesday afternoon or something.

It does, however, give you the runs until the weekend

I've definitely had Pizza Hut All you can Eat Buffet.

It is Monday through Friday 12pm - 12:10pm. Good Luck getting a plate. I had to knock an old woman down with a swift kick to her walker.

Score!

The food was amazing. So was the burning sensation moments later.
